About
Founded in 1958 to educate area professionals working on the U.S. space program, Florida Institute of Technology has grown to offer more than 160 bachelor?s, master?s and doctoral degree programs in engineering, science, business, aviation, education, psychology, communication and humanities. The university?s Melbourne campus spans 130 acres and features a lush botanical garden, NCAA competition athletic fields, textile art gallery, performing arts center and an outdoor concert space, the Panthereum. Florida Tech is also home to the Florida Tech Research Park as well as a host of innovative institutes, centers and laboratories, including the Center for Space Commercialization.
