NKF SURF FESTIVAL HISTORY:
The Pro-Am Surfing Program revolves around the story of Richard K. Salick. Richard along with his brother Phil, both surfing professionals, founded the Cocoa Beach Surfing Festival twenty nine years ago as a way to help raise funds to fight kidney disease and help dialysis patients.

THE NKFF FOOT PRINTS FESTIVAL HISTORY. This is the brother event of the NKFF Rich Salick Pro-Am Surfing Festival Labor Day Weekend. The largest charitable surf event in the world. This walk was founded by Richard Salick and Billy Hahn both professional surfers and both struck by kidney disease. Billy surfed on one of the first Salick Surf Teams for his friends and mentors Richard and Phil Salick (Founders of the NKF Rich Salick Pro-Am Surfing Festival Labor Day Weekend). Rich and Billy moved from the Green Room to the Boardroom in their advocacy for kidney disease.
